Role Responsibilities:

• Design, implement and maintain the organization's IP Ethernet and Wireless network strategy.
• Identify, use, and develop tools to manage the network.
• Ensuring connectivity to and from satellite offices via VPN gateways through a secure firewall.
• Provide all necessary technical assistance to engineering and research teams.
• Research and develop standards for the organization’s network configuration.
• Understand and document the current topology of the network.
• Identify KPIs and metrics for the network and report them to management.
• Use the existing set of resources to propose the new topology or modify the current one based on the KPIs and metrics.
• Identify shortcomings in the network and propose a solution to optimize the network.
• Use available access points, routers, switches and firewalls and identify new hardware if required and prepare a strategy to deploy them.
• Implement and maintain a secure and scalable network.
• Handle technical issues, find faults, and resolve them to keep the network robust.
• Deploy a network monitoring system that shows the live status of the network.
• Generate alerts if there are faults observed in the network and try to implement preventive measures.
• Configuring Firewall and IPS.
• Ensure that the company knows as much as possible, as quickly as possible about potential security threats to the network.
• Setting up VPN server and ensuring connectivity.
• Supervise and successfully provision installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware, software, and related infrastructure.

Basic Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of proven work experience as IT Security & Network Engineer.
• Detailed technical knowledge of database and operating system security and operations.
• Hands-on experience in security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software.
• Hands-on experience with Active Directory Setup and maintenance.
• Hands-on experience with virtualization server software such as Hyper-V, VMware etc.
• Experience in designing and implementation of a network in a similar capacity.
• Knowledge of public/private cloud networks.
• Hands-on experience in establishing servers on any of the GCP/AWS/Azure instances.
• Experience in searching, finalizing and deploying different firewalls including SonicWall, Fortinet, WatchGuard and other similar kinds of firewalls.
• Experience in implementing different monitoring systems like Zabbix, Prometheus, Nagios or other open source/licensed systems etc.
• Advance knowledge of VPN protocols like Open VPN, IPSec, PPTP and SSTP etc.
• Excellent communication skills (must be fluent in English).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in IT/Cyber Security, Telecommunication or related discipline.
• Certifications from Juniper/Cisco is desirable.
• Advanced knowledge in evaluating vendor products and making recommendations to purchase hardware and software.
• Standard certification achievements e.g.: Security+, CCNP, CCNA, Network+, MCSA.
• Excellent documentation skills.
